Robert Hughes (Chairman)
Robert is Anna’s father and lives with his wife Carole and eldest daughter Sara near Stamford. After 32 years at Mars where he was Managing Director of UK Food Division , he recently took up the role of Chairman of Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust . He is also trustee of national charity Brain Tumour Research.
Carole Hughes
Carole is Anna’s mum and lives with her husband Robert and daughter Sara near Stamford. She has worked in the Health Service and is a qualified swimming teacher. As mum and ‘nurse’ to Anna throughout every day of her illness she has been inspired to dedicate her time to supporting other children with brain tumours and their families.
Hazel Hook
Hazel was one of Anna’s Godmothers. She is married with two grown-up sons and currently works as a Freelance Consultant to the Museum and Heritage Industry. It is envisaged that her previous experience of working as a Grants Co-ordinator within the fundraising division of the Woodland Trust, will prove beneficial to the charity.
Joanne Nicol
Joanne is married to Tim, who runs his own Marketing Consultancy. They have two grown up daughters. She trained to be a midwife in Leicester and after a career break has returned to work as a phlebotomist at a local GP surgery. Joanne and will use her experience of charity work following several years as a committee member of Stamford NSPCC. She contributes largely to the fundraising team.
Gail Hunt
Gail is a GP in Stamford and is married to Phil, a consultant in intensive care in Peterborough. She has three grown up children and will bring medical expertise to the charity as well as running the odd marathon to raise funds.
Erica Fraser
Erica is a former Regional Managing Director of Compass Group with over 25 years experience in the Hospitality and Catering sector. This, together with her Masters Degree in Business Administration, will enable her to help, support and develop the Charity. Erica lives locally in Barnack with her partner, Simon.
Rob Persani
Rob Persani has been the presenter of Rutland Radio’s Breakfast Show for 15 years and was also the first voice on the radio station when it launched full time. Rob’s often seen at events around Stamford and Rutland, and it was through this part of his work he got to know about Anna’s Hope. As well as working in partnership with the charity through Rutland Radio, Rob has also fundraised for the charity by running the Perkins Great Eastern Half-Marathon, and earlier this year, the Virgin London Marathon. Both of these were his first long-distance runs. Rob lives in Stamford, and in his spare time also enjoys being on stage at Uppingham Theatre in musicals, pantos and plays.
Susan Williams
Sue is married to Rhys and has two young children.
She is a major supporter of Anna’s Hope and we are delighted that she has joined the charity as a Trustee. As a mother of a child who has survived a brain tumour, Sue brings invaluable personal experience and insights of treatment and rehabilitation and has a real passion to help children with brain tumours.

Lady Isabella Naylor-Leyland
Isabella Naylor-Leyland,originally from Co.Durham, is now married to a Cambridgeshire landowner. She has been involved in fundraising for children’s charities including NSPCC and the Dyspraxia Foundation, and is a trustee of two charitable trusts.
Judith Carter
Judith Carter is Chief Executive of The Haycock Hotel Wansford and a former Head Teacher who has also served on a working party for the development of Science National Curriculum.
Sarah Edwick
Sarah Edwick,Founder of Lucy Locket with her husband Paul. Their company specialises in Fairy clothes, which Anna loved to wear.
Miranda Rock
We are delighted to announce that Miranda Rock has become the latest patron for Anna’s Hope. Miranda is Director of Burghley House, Stamford.
Michael is a well-known Peterborough business man and former Director of Peterborough United. He has undertaken numerous international treks for charity along with his wife Mary. He is also the MD of ChromaSport Schoolwear and Trophies based in Bretton, Peterborough. He has been an active supporter of Anna’s Hope for many years and is delighted to become a patron. He looks forward to continuing his support and advocacy of the charity and its aims.
Samantha Hale
Samantha Hale is Managing Director of Advance Performance UK Ltd and Commercial Director of the Perkins Great Eastern Run. The relationship between Samantha and Anna’s Hope developed over a number of years . Sam is delighted to now have her association with Anna’s Hope onto a more formal footing. As a patron she will continue to network on the charity’s behalf and look for fundraising opportunities.
Colin Ward
Entrepreneur and local businessman, Colin Ward lives in Stamford with his wife Daphne. He is Managing Director of Live Promotions Events Ltd, who stage events throughout the United Kingdom including events at East of England Showground Peterborough and concerts at Burghley House Stamford. He is a lifetime honorary member of the National Outdoor Events Association which he is a founder. Colin’s interest include International Politics, history and music ( he is a keen drummer). He thoroughly enjoys life and socialising with good friends and is a great supporter of Anna’s Hope.
