John James Smart (Smarty) was a 22 year old man died on 20th July 2011 in a road traffic accident in Italy whilst working for the RAF. During his short life he was in the Army Cadets, the Territorial Army and he also served in Afghanistan and The Falklands with the RAF.
He was a keen sportsman who helped to raise money for Anna’s Hope, which was his squadron’s elected charity. Carole and Rob Hughes were deeply moved and honoured that his family chose that funds raised in his memory should go to Anna’s Hope .
So far over £2500 has been raised and shows how much his friends loved him . Every penny will go towards funding the charity’s aims.
