This excellent new blue Spencer Sweet Pea was bred by Andrew Beane and has been one of the best in our recent trials producing well placed large wavy blooms with a fine fragrance on long strong stems. We are sure it has all the qualities to impress show judges too.
“Anna loved perfumed flowers and her favourite colour was blue,” explains Anna’s Mum Carole Hughes. “We have had this beautiful long stemmed, strong smelling sweet pea bred and named “Anna’s Hope” in memory of our beautiful little daughter Anna Olivia Hughes.
“I love the smell of sweet peas there wonderful aroma that fills the air from May onwards, and I thought what a lovely idea to have a sweet pea named after her, and at the same time helping and giving hope to other children like herself diagnosed with a brain tumour the country’s biggest cancer killer in children.
“This means so much to me as Anna’s Mummy, my love for gardening and that nature can help not only by creating such a wonderful flower, but calm the senses with the wonderful smell, and help ease some of the pain endured by a poorly child and their family.
“I can see Anna’s big beaming smile now saying ‘thank you Mummy’. So it is with grateful thanks to Simply Seeds And Plants for making my dreams come true.”
